The gangly boy pounded on the smooth brown surface of the table angrily. He laboriously kicked at the table leg, causing the plates to jump dementedly like ghostly silvered fiends. At the complaint of the young girl sitting next to him, he reached over and brutally slapped her in the face, leaving a scarlet spiderweb of color flowing down her face.
"That is quite enough of this show, young man! You will report immediately to the front office!" Snapped the table monitor. He stood and violently threw the chair backwards, sending it skidding along the floor like a runaway train.
Grabbing the chair next to him, he whirled it around, a shine of metallic silver pivoting like a sword stabbing at an unprotected leg.
A desparate anger spread through him like an arid wasteland covering him in layers of hopeless confusion.
The world felt like a sterile smokey cubicle, closing him in. He stood alone and deserted. It was nothing more than a sphere that held no promise of better things. A dry dehydrated deadland.
In his mind he could conjure nothing but the dark elliptical shape of a black sun which held no promise or value.
He had never been well liked, always in the background. Ignored. Shunned. In the back of his muddled mind he heard the lament of the girl. Somewhere deep inside he felt a minute twinge of guilt. He grappled momentarily then squashed it like a useless insect. He had never understood why things had to be so hard. The people around him were callous. Inflexible and rigid as dried brittle bones. He felt cold as a snow packed icy river bank. His heart was pierced with a thousand daggerlike needles, and the anguish ran through him in rivers of despair. Split and running off in a dozen directions, leaving him with no source of guidance.
All these thoughts passed through him in mere seconds. He couldn't understand what he was feeling. This was the world he knew and there was nothing else. No place for him to go. No friend to comfort him, just a dark shadow standing over him all his days.

Works in progress
I am sitting here looking out my window at a majorly yucky day. Fog, rain,
cold. Great for my mood. I have several writing projects going, besides school,
and have also been working on Nanowrimo, which I know will not get done, but
it's an excellent incentive to keep going.
I have a synopsis for a story called "The Ruby Window", have almost finished
"Madness", and have "A Renaissance Story." I have some of this on my writing.com
site, just click on the graphic to get there.
Happy Writing!

I am a lunatic
Really, how else can I describe it? I am in the writing course, which I started the beginning of Oct, now I have decided to try doing Nanowrimo. Yup, I'm crazy. And now I have found myself a member of two wrimo groups, omg. Well, at least I'll get lots of writing info & help tips.
Anyway, the story I am putting on wrimo is one I have been working on already, so I will have a good incentive to keep going. I only have 2000 some words on it, but that's ok.
So, if there is anything I think up, I'll add it here. Can you say C.R.A.Z.Y.

Depressing news & school
Ok, I am a little bit depressed here. We will be going offline for awhile, to try
to catch up with a few things. Don't worry, i am not deserting my writing blog,
I will be updating periodically from our girls computer.
Meanwhile, I am anxiously awaiting the return of my first assignment from my
instructor, and working on some of the exercises given.
Also, will continue working on a novel type story I have going.
Can't think of anything else right now, so, will post again, soon.

First Assignment
Ok, nervous here, and a little scared too. I mailed out my first assignment this a.m.
It is the beginning of a new journey for me, no backing out now. It has been raining
here all day, and that does nothing good for my mood, I am depressed enough already.
Anyway, the assignment I did is supposed to be about life on a farm, requiring both
story, and dialog between the characters, with one main character. So all I can do
now is wait and suffer.
I hope this goes well, hehe.

25 pages
I sat and read the rest of the instructions for assignment 1, which included
the extra exercises to do independently, Then started writing.
There is the choice of writing non-fiction, or fiction story. I chose to write
a fiction story, the age level i chose is 9-12, which will be my age range of
choice throughout the course.
I'm excited about this, I have been wanting to do it for a long time!

A New Path
Ok, so, my books for the course came yesterday (finally), which means that now
I have to study, write, do all that "school stuff". And I guess it also means
that a few of my other favorite hobbies will have to be put away for awhile.
(cross stitch, pc, designing, etc, oh well).
I am looking forward to starting on a new path, and who knows where it will
take me (us).
So, I am guessing that's what this blog will be about for awhile.
